Next Steps

Gaming Task Force

As part of its work on video games and health, WHO is launching a collaboration with the global video games industry via its new Video Games Task Force – uniting companies, community leaders and influencers to embed health messages, education, and wellness strategies directly into their games and digital communities.
We continue collaboration with WHO to engage the video games industry as a channel to communicate health information. Our further cooperation will incentivize players to tune into games for special events, activities, and rewards. We are looking for new, meaningful, and sustainable ways to make it viable and productive.
01
To promote solidarity and collaboration around global health issues, including emergencies.
02
To rally the industry to improve its regulations in matters that touch upon the health and wellbeing of its consumers and employees.
03
To inspire community action through health and wellbeing education and activations in games.
04
To share the learnings and experience so that others can follow suit.
05
To improve our understanding of how health and wellbeing activations and regulations in games influence real-world action and behavior change.
06
To mobilize investment for operational costs, events, and campaigns.
